Nursing and Allied Health Division Programs
The Nursing and Allied Health Division is responsible for the administration of all the College nursing education options, both on the main campus and at ECC-Rolla. Nursing at East Central College has full approval by the Missouri State Board of Nursing (MSBN).
In addition, the division oversees the EMT/Paramedic program and Medical Assisting Program. EMT is only offered on the main campus. Paramedic Science and Medical Assisting are offered on the main campus and at ECC-Rolla.
The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) and Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) programs, offered as part of the Missouri Health Professions Consortium in cooperation with the State Fair Community College and Moberly Area Community College, are part of the Allied Health Division.
At ECC-Rolla, the College offers the AAS Radiological Technology.
Many of the programs in this division have selective admissions criteria. Also, for many of these programs admissions and/or enrollment are contingent upon criminal background checks and drug screenings.
The Nursing and Allied Health Division also works with students interested in transfer coursework to a baccalaureate nursing program or other health services field.
