RSC 220 - Respiratory Care Clinical III

This advanced clinical course prepares students for entry-level practice as respiratory therapists by providing immersive experience in a variety of acute and critical care settings. Students will demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management, arterial blood gas interpretation, airway care, and the implementation of complex therapeutic modalities. Emphasis is placed on independent clinical judgment, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Students are expected to function with a high level of competence and professionalism as they transition from supervised learning to professional readiness.

Lecture/Laboratory: Clinical: 20 contact hours per week.
Prerequisite: RSC 105, 155, 160, 170, 171, 205 with a minimum of a “C”
Corequisite: RSC 150, 201, 221, 291
