NUR 291 - Nursing Trends

Hours: 1
This course is designed to engage the student as a member of the nursing profession. Students will examine licensure, regulations, and current issues influencing healthcare. Scientific methods and research are utilized to analyze and debate current healthcare policy as well as examine licensure, regulations, and continuing education that influence the role of the nurse.

Lecture/Laboratory: Two hour discussion per week for eight weeks.
Prerequisite: Minimum grade of “C” in NUR 201 /NUR 202 . Pre/Co-curriculum: NUR 231 , NUR 232 , SOC 101 . Spring semester, second year.
