REL 213 - New Testament Hours: 3 A critical-historical survey of the New Testament as literature. Special emphasis is placed upon the different modern approaches to Biblical understanding and criticism, and upon the different literary types of writings found in the New Testament itself, especially the Gospels and Letters of Paul. The course is designed to help the student appreciate the Bible as great literature from a critical point of view.
