Mathematics, Engineering and Physics Division

The Mathematics, Engineering and Physics Division oversees a wide variety of course offerings in pre-engineering, physical science and mathematics. The areas within this division include degree options for both the Associate of Arts and the Associate of Science degrees and a full range of coursework for the general education portion of all degree programs. The division also oversees the degree programming in industrial engineering technology and precision machining.

In the physical sciences, the College provides general education options in both physics and physical science.

For pre-engineering students, the College offers the necessary range of mathematics courses as well as the required physical sciences. In addition, options are available in a variety of engineering courses, all articulated as part of the Associate of Science degree.

In mathematics, the College provides a full range of developmental coursework, designed to advance students’ mathematics ability to college level. Students will find all the general education courses to satisfy mathematics degree requirements; major courses are also offered. For several different degree options, the mathematics department offers specialized courses to meet student and programmatic needs.

In addition, the division oversees programming in precision machining and industrial engineering technology offered at ECC-Washington.
