This pathway is intended to help a student gain and entry-level position as a level-1 helpdesk support technician. The program will prepare students to use professional and appropriate customer service skills to gather information in order to analyze a caller’s problem and respond or escalate accordingly. Entry level positions as a help desk technician may lead to advancement to higher level support positions including field support and network technician.
This Certificate of Specialization is structured for those who have interest in the Technical Support emphasis of the CIS Pathway in the CIS Certificate of Achievement and CIS Associate of Applied Science.
Extra-Curricular/Cocurricular Opportunities at ECC: At this time, there are no clubs or extracurricular activities available to students. Job shadow opportunities may be available through business advisory committee members.
