Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Certificate of Specialization

The Certificate of Specialization in HVAC/R degree is a two-semester day program quickly preparing students to enter the workforce as an HVAC/R technician. Evening students can complete this degree in three semesters. Students learn skills such as fabrication and joining techniques, basic refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, commercial refrigeration, electrical fundamentals, HVAC/R controls, and design of HVAC/R systems. In addition, students can test for the EPA license.  

Extra-Curricular/Cocurricular Opportunities at ECC: All HVAC/R students have an opportunity to participate in DECA. ECC-DECA has competed regionally and nationally enjoying trips to Washington D. C. and New York.
