Associate of Applied Science Accounting 
Accounting is a crucial part of every business operation and the language of business. The Associate of Applied Science in Accounting degree program focuses on practical skills often required for entry-level accounting positions. Students in their first year will have classes in basic accounting principles, while second year students take more advanced accounting courses. Two-year graduates may find positions as general bookkeepers, accounting clerks and accounts receivable/payable specialists.

Extra-Curricular/Co-curricular Opportunities at ECC
All accounting students have an opportunity to participate in DECA. ECC-DECA has competed regionally and nationally enjoying trips to Washington D. C., Orlando and New York. Students may also choose to obtain a complimentary student membership to the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
