Business Pathways to Success - Associate of Arts

The Associate of Arts Accounting/Business Pathway is designed for students who plan to transfer to another college or university to earn a higher- level degree. This pathway is a minimum of 60 college-level credit hours with (18) credit hours dedicated to accounting and business courses. With the help of an advisor, students will select appropriate accounting and business courses preparing them for future advanced-level courses while allowing an exploration of career interest areas. This pathway introduces the student to the many skills required to get noticed by today’s industry leaders. Critical thinking, communication skills, and a strong understanding of business ethics is a great foundation on which to start your future.  

Extra-Curricular/Cocurricular Opportunities at ECC: All accounting/business students have an opportunity to participate in DECA. ECC-DECA has competed regionally and nationally enjoying trips to Washington D. C., Orlando and New York. Accounting students may also choose to obtain a complimentary student membership to The Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
