Precision Machining Technology, AAS


The Associate of Applied Science in Precision Machining program taught in conjunction with the region’s extensive manufacturing industry. The curriculum centers on “hands on” learning in our expanded professional CNC and Machine Tool labs. The program has up to date Computer Numerical Control machines and up to date Manual mills and lathes. Students earning an AAS degree will also study advanced programming Cad and Computer Aided Manufacturing techniques. In addition to the technical training students enrolled in the AAS degree take an additional (18) credit hours in non- precision machinery courses such as communications, math, and technical skills writing. Individuals considering a career in management are strongly encouraged to apply for this degree. 

Extra-Curricular/Cocurricular Opportunities at ECC: All Precision Machinery students have an opportunity to participate in SkillsUSA. The SkillsUSA allows students to fulfill the mission of the organization “to empower members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens.” Precision Machining students also earn the industry recognized NIMS credential and the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC).
