The Certificate of Achievement in Precision Machining CNC program taught in conjunction with the region’s extensive manufacturing industry. This credential is designed for the person whose ambition is to work on the manufacturing/shop floor. The curriculum centers on “hands on” learning in our expanded professional CNC and Machine Tool labs. The program has up to date Computer Numerical Control machines and up to date Manual mills and lathes. This degree is designed so that after two semesters of coursework a student can quickly re-enter the manufacturing work market.
Extra-Curricular/Cocurricular Opportunities at ECC: All Precision Machinery students have an opportunity to participate in SkillsUSA. The SkillsUSA allows students to fulfill the mission of the organization “to empower members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens.” Precision Machining students also earn the industry recognized NIMS credential and the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC).
