Welding Four Rivers Career Center Certificate of Achievement to AAS

|
The Welding program is a two-year partner program with Four River Career Center that trains students in various types of welds in all positions, including plate and pipe. Blueprint reading, layout and fit-up are integral parts of the curriculum. The program provides a mix of classroom instruction along with hands-on lab work. Students completing the two-year program for dual/college credit will earn high school credit and a Certificate of Achievement from East Central College.
Extra-Curricular/Cocurricular Opportunities at ECC: Opportunities exist for students to engage in cocurricular events with local and regional companies to visualize their future career in welding. Membership in SkillsUSA.

Year 3 Second Semester-ECC (12 Hours) *Articulated credit earned upon cmpletion of the two year high school program. **Civics Achievement Exam is required if a student pursues an AAS degree upon completion of certificate. Pathway Electives (recommended) Or any other ECC courses numbered 100 or above in the areas of HVAC, Industrial Engineering Technology, Precision Machining, Automotive Technology, Building Construction, Business, or Computer Informaiton Systems. |
