Apprenticeship Skilled Trades - AAS

The Associate of Applied Science in Apprenticeship Skilled Trades is designed for individuals who have completed or are presently enrolled in an established apprenticeship program. This degree provides opportunity for individuals in a journey-level training programs to earn college credit for apprenticeship completion. Articulated credit in the amount of 45 credit hours will be given at completion. Transcription of credit for the apprenticeship training program will be done per the college procedures for credit for prior learning. This program recognizes the core curriculum of any apprenticeship training program that is approved by the Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards, a division of the Department of Labor. To complement an individual’s technical or on-the-job training, a component consisting of 16 hours of general education will also be required. Individuals that complete this program of study will not only receive their journeyman’s license but an Associate of Applied Science degree. This degree not only elevates the significance of individual apprenticeship training in the eyes of the community, but also allows individuals to pursue an advanced degree to enhance their career opportunities.

Apprentice Skilled Trades Experience (45 credit hours)


45 Articulated credit hours through approved Journeyman Level Certificate or Department of Labor Certificate.
