EN 1703 - Drama As Literature Hours: 3 A study of the forms, techniques and themes of drama through reading and discussing plays destined for the theatre and through viewing both film and live performances. Works studied will include both those originally written in English and several translated from other languages. Through their study, students will learn about the values and customs of various cultures including but not limited to those of ancient Greece; medieval, Renaissance, and modern Europe; and 19th and 20th century American. This course is writing intensive.
