EN 2343 - Literature of Autobiography Hours: 3 This course is a study of autobiographical texts by selected writers grappling with self definition through literature: poetry, prose memoir, novel, graphic novel, and/or other media. While primary emphasis is placed on literary explication, students will investigate ways in which race, ethnicity, gender, geography, and class shape the writers’ notions of self.
