Education Guided Pathway to Success Associate of Arts

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Academic Programs

The Education Pathway is designed to help students determine if the education field is the appropriate pathway for them. The pathway has a focused area within some of the Core 42 coursework to match general education requirements at most Ed. Preparation institutions. There are designed milestones in this pathway to assist the student in making some of the decisions regarding their future in the education field.
Completion of just an AA Pathway does not mean the student will have a seamless transfer to a 4 - year partner’s certification program. Once a student is certain the Education Field is their future pathway, they should transition into the AAT pathway. Extra-Curricular/Cocurricular Opportunities at ECC: East Central College has an active SMSTA Chapter on campus that participates and hosts numerous Cocurricular activities throughout the year. Some examples: SMSTA Legislative Day, MSTA Convention, ECC’s Messy Play Night, and a routine schedule of guest speakers at chapter meetings.
