Additional Information
In order to achieve success in this program, a student can expect to spend a minimum of 20-30 hours per week, outside of class, studying and preparing for class and clinical experiences. Some examples include: practicing skills in the lab, preparing for clinical assignments, studying for exams, preparing for class, developing written assignments and presentations.

Program of Study
(Effective for nursing students entering the program in fall 2017 or later)
The nursing program is a full-time course of study. THIS IS A SUGGESTED PLAN OF STUDY BASED ON COLLEGE READINESS PLACEMENT SCORES. The complete nursing curriculum can be found in the ECC Registered Nursing application.
Program Prerequisites (19 hours)
All General Education courses must have been successfully completed with a “C” or higher.

Prerequisite Notes:
- One year High School Chemistry with a “C” or better in the last 5 years will substitute for College Chemistry pre-requisite for Human Anatomy & Physiology.
- Two years High School Biology with a “C” or better in the last 5 years will substitute for General Biology pre-requisite for Human Anatoly & Physiology AND Microbiology for Alllied Health.
- East Central College has restructured the course numbering system effective, Fall 2017. The proposed plan reflects those changes.
- An overall college GPA of 2.75 is required.
