ENG 232 - Literature of Fantasy Hours: 3 A study of the development of fantasy as a literary form, with emphasis on J.R.R. Tolkien. The course aims at defining fantasy in a basic way, and then showing, through an analysis of the works, the pleasures particular to the genre.
