ECC-Phelps Law Enforcement Guided Pathway
Track Narrative: The Law Enforcement program is offered at the East Central College Rolla North site located at 2303 North Bishop. The 1-year certificate program combines theory, experiential learning, and practical applications to prepare students for a career as a peace officer.
The purpose of the law enforcement program is designed to assist students to acquire the skills and knowledge essential to the role for a competent peace officer. Upon successful completion of this program, graduates receive a certificate of achievement and are qualified to sit for the Missouri Peace Officer Licensing Exam (MPOLE).
** Prerequisites/Admission Requirements: A selective admission process is utilized. Applicants must meet the minimum program admission requirements and must be eligible to be licensed as a peace officer in the state of Missouri. **Students must also place into ENG 101 or have successfully completed ENG 101 to be eligible for program admission.
Extra-Curricular/Co-curricular Opportunities at ECC: ECC offers a wide variety of clubs and co-curricular activities for all students.
**Once accepted into the Law Enforcement Program, students must maintain a “C” average and must pass all courses each semester to successfully move onto the next semester / course.
