Partner Programs


In addition to the programming encompassed within the College’s instructional divisions, ECC partners with Four Rivers Career Center and Rolla Technical Institute/Center to provide career/technical programming. At Four Rivers Career Center programming includes welding, automotive technology and building construction. In Rolla, programming includes radiological technology and respiratory care.

East Central and Rolla Technical Center/Institute

East Central College partners with the Rolla School District through Rolla Technical Institute/Center (RTI/C) to offer many programs to students in Rolla and the surrounding area. Students can take advantage of this partnership agreement by enrolling as an East Central College student and earning college credit towards a degree while studying the programs offered through RTI/C. Students are required to complete all other requirements, including their general education coursework, through East Central for the AAS degree. Programs and degrees offered through this partnership agreement include Auto Technology, Building Construction, Paramedic, Radiologic Technology, and Respiratory Care.

In addition to these partner programs, ECC provides articulated credit opportunities through the Health Science Academy, Fire Technology, and other programs as available.

East Central College and Four Rivers Area Career Center

East Central College partners with the School District of Washington through the Four Rivers Area Career Center to offer many degree programs to students in the Washington and surrounding area. Students are able to take advantage of enrolling as an East Central College student and earning college credit towards a degree while studying the programs offered through Four Rivers Career Center. Students are co-enrolled through Four Rivers and ECC to earn credit at both institutions. Students are required to complete their general education requirements through East Central for the AAS degree. Programs and degrees offered through this partnership agreement include Auto Technology, Building Construction, Precision Machining, Welding, and other programs as available.

East Central College and the Apprenticeship Training Programs

East Central College partners with the Apprenticeship Training programs in the state of Missouri to offer degrees in Apprenticeship Training AAS, Communication Trades, Construction Trades and Manufacturing Trades.

This partnership provides an opportunity for individuals who have completed an approved training program in the State of Missouri to articulate the completed training for college credit towards the Apprenticeship Training AAS Degree. The program must be approved through the Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards, a division of the Department of Labor, and the student must submit their Department of Labor verification for apprenticeship status. Through this partnership, East Central awards 43 credit hours toward the degree, requiring the student to complete 21 credit hours of general education coursework to receive the degree.

East Central College and Occupational Education

East Central has partnered with the University of Central Missouri to offer an AAS in Occupational Education. The degree is designed to transfer to the University of Central Missouri to complete a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education. The degree helps individuals transition from industry to education and will count prior industry experience. Students pursuing the AAS in Occupational Education and the Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education degree program are often mid-career professionals with occupational experience who want to transition to teaching their occupation to others.

Transfer Partnerships

East Central College and Central Methodist University

Central Methodist University offers bachelor and master’s degree programs on the ECC Union campus designed for students who have completed an associate degree or equivalent. Majors include accounting, business, criminal justice, early childhood education, elementary education, nursing, psychology and sociology. Majors are added as interest is identified.

Baccalaureate Institutions

East Central College maintains articulation agreements, transfer student agreements, and other articulated program agreements with a variety of public and private four-year baccalaureate institutions throughout the region and the state.
