Meta-Major: Health Sciences and Health Careers

Overview

EAST CENTRAL COLLEGE offers many different programs of study within the area of health sciences and health careers. Overall, this meta-major offers coursework providing a good foundation for health studies and encourages critical thinking while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. Students will explore a full range of opportunities within health-related fields, offering them a chance to learn more about academic requirements for each program and professional requirements of associated career options in order to choose the degree path most appropriate to their interests.

Though students should be aware that admission to some programs within the ECC Health Sciences and Health Careers Meta-Major requires a rigorous and competitive applications process, others are open to all students and can lead to excellent future academic and career options of their own. Certificates, two-year transfer degrees, applied science degrees and pre-licensure programs are all options within this large, diverse field of study.
