Focus on the sciences used in the practice of respiratory care. Emphasis will be placed upon physics, chemistry, and microbiology as related to the cardiopulmonary sciences.

Prerequisite: Admission to the respiratory care program, RC 1003 - Introduction to Respiratory Care * , RC 1011 - Lab Practicum I * , RC 1012 - Patient Assessment * , RC 1023 - Cardio-Pulmonary Anatomy & Physiolology * , RC 1033 - Respiratory Pharmacology * , RC 1044 - Basic Therapeutics * , RC 1021 - Lab Practicum II * , EN 1223 - English Comp I , MT 1083 - Applied Algebra & Trigonometry  or higher level math course, BI 1804 - Introduction Human Anatomy & Physiology Lecture & Lab
