Overview
EAST CENTRAL COLLEGE offers two education-related degree programs: the Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT, transfer degree) and Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development (work-ready degree). Both include the college’s general education core as well as program-specific course offerings.
The ECC Education Meta-Major allows students to explore connections between these two programs and specific areas of concentration within the field of teaching. Education students will become familiar with the admission and credentialing requirements of these programs. ECC maintains partnerships with local schools, and the practical opportunities students may gain from these partnerships will also be explored as part of this meta-major.
